This post is a continuation of the first one and the brief overview I gave about the term. As a follow up to that one, this one will include further reasoning to why Euthanasia should be allowed and more thorough simplification for the mentioned causes. Amongst the most supported reasons in favor of Euthanasia is the discrimination in Palliative Care. It is referred to as discrimination because of a number of reasons, the first one being that those who have a terminal disease that is less common oftentimes face more suffering. As an example of this could be used the irregularities that patients diagnosed with lung cancer face, the unmet appropriate hostile care as well as the unprovided impaired quality of life and emotional well being, unlike those with end-stage COPD have been supplied with. An additional reason that makes a significant contribution, is the improper palliative care that patients from the third world countries are encountered with. The palliative care is often li...

Surveys show the public wants legislative reform to give terminally or incurably ill adults the choice of a medically assisted death. So why isn’t anything being done? It seems like we can choose so many of our life experiences, but when it comes to choosing painful or peaceful death we have no say. Some people face death in the form of unbearable physical pain, mental anguish, or both. Even worse, sometimes there is no cure nor any type of complete pain reliever, which understandably causes hopelessness and absence of will to continue living. This subject is ongoingly causing debate all around the world regardless of the historically strong opposition. With the church’s constant decline of power, change of cultural values and decades of being told that the individual is above the government, and are best suited for making that decision, it’s understandable that those same people would want to be responsible for the biggest decision regarding their lives. More and more peop...

Medicine is purely established on the concept of dosage, the constant clash between poison and health care. In order to establish a safe but effective amount, a clinical research is conducted with the help of trialing different doses of new drugs. The reason behind it it’s simple, too much of any medicine can cause harm, just as the old saying goes, “the dose makes the poison”. But, since the topic I’m discussing is the types of drugs used in assisted dying, and the basic motivation behind euthanasia is the relieve of pain and suffering, it would only make sense if the amount increases. In fact, anything that is taken in excessive quantities can be fatal, truly. The drugs that are commonly and preferably used in Switzerland, some USA states, the Netherlands, Belgium, and many other places to end life are called barbiturates, Nembutal being one of them, it is categorized both as secobarbital capsules and pentobarbital. They are either used alone or in combination and as a response t...

There has been a lot of controversy in regards to this topic for more over than a century. That is because the definition behind the word Euthanasia is basically the practice of intentionally ending a life to relieve pain and suffering. The word “euthanasia” was first used in a medical context to describe an easy, painless, happy death, by Francis Bacon in the 17th century. Every country holds a different law and belief about this topic and that is because it isn’t a light topic to be talked about. There have been done tons of surveys about this, but it either ends up with more than half of the votes in favor and vice versa. This comes from the fact that there are many aspects to look from, many advantages handed and positive perspectives such as the relief of suffering, reduction of disease spread and so on. On the other hand, some say that it’s immoral to just simply end someone else’s life as if it doesn’t hold any value and firmly stand behind their beliefs that, besides receiving...
